Ayn Rand was a Russian-American novelist, philosopher, playwright, and screenwriter. Born in February 2, 1905 was educated in Russia and moved to the United States in 1926. However, only achieved fame in 1943 with the novel The Fountainhead. Also, in 1957 she produced her best known work called Atlas Shrugged. Anthem was written while she also wrote The Fountainhead, it was published in 1938 and sold 3.5 million copies winning an award in 1987. She was considered to be a controversial figure, but also very respected carried her ideas to university classrooms, Hollywood, and to the Congress. Her philosophy started to increase after her death in 1982, and today she is the subject of a Oscar-nominated documentary. Overall, she had a very tough life which inspires many people until today.

    I think that it is nice that you researched about the author so that you could have a background of who she is. Something I was wondering though is why did she choose to write this book, Anthem? What inspired her to write this book? My suggestion is that for next time you should put information of the author about the book.
