Anthem Line Illuminator Adam

Part 3
"We put a piece of copper and a piece of zinc into a jar of brine, we touched a wire to them, and there, under our fingers, was a miracle which had never occurred before, a new miracle and a new power."
This passage shows after that they figured out how to make another form of electricity they were able to make new ideas of the original and make better than the original.  Such as they went from a frog leg conducting electricity to lightning conducting electricity.
This sentence has a lot of information.  Not is it only showing how  I think this quote is very important because not only does it show a lot of information.  However it also tells you that the setting or plot is in the mid 1900,  or it was written during that time period.

 Part 4
"Then they knelt by the moat, they gathered water in their two hands, they rose and they held the water out to our lips."
This passage also is a big resemblance of the book because as you can see these two sentences have basic things in our everyday live.  And these two things they are amazed of or are wanting.  Not only are these things are basic but we use them every minute of the day.  Unlike the lighting the of situation water is different because they know what it is and you can't live without water however you can live without electricity.  Also this passage also shows how they are in the early to mid 1900 because water isn't a thing that is available everywhere.  As it is saying here.

  1. Adam,
I went for your post because I am also a Line Illuminator and I was curious to see what other line Illuminator's had put for their lines. I think the first paragraph was very good as it was an important and strong part of the story. The whole discovery of electricity or at least the concept became more clear after reading your post so thank you for pushing my thinking forward.
